It is my privilege and responsibility to share with you my professional knowledge and skills to enable you to recognize your own fitness capabilities and goals. If presented in a safe and fun environment, you can experience that exercise can be a medicine of its own. My most successful clients are the ones that say, “Exercise just makes me feel better mentally and physically!” You will be provided with the necessary guidance and motivation to help you to achieve a sense of overall health and well-being. Together we will take small steps in changing your exercise and dietary habits in order for you to commit to a lifestyle that they can be continued. Your future is determined by the choices that you make today.

My Story
I started out my professional career as an Educator and I found myself at the gym almost every day to destress after school. When our Group Fitness Instructor was a no show, the group unanimously asked me to get up on stage and to get the class going. Although I was humbled, I felt under qualified to give these members the service that they deserved. This was the day that I embarked on my new career in Health and Fitness almost 20 years ago.
My degrees in education, counseling, and exercise physiology were the perfect triad for my health and fitness profession. After gaining experience in various fitness facilities, my passion to share fitness and wellness with others led me to start my own business.
I witnessed too many one size fits all exercise programs that are sometimes discouraging and dead ends. What if you have had health issues, an injury, or surgery and you are fearful to getting back to exercise? At Your Fitness by Design, we start with an empty slate. I love getting to know client’s past history and experiences with exercise so that we can create and implement an individualized exercise and nutrition plan that works.
Whether a beginner or someone looking to regain a healthier lifestyle, my gentle but firm approach has my clients gaining confidence not only in our workouts but in other aspects of their lives.
There is nothing more rewarding than to see a client show up for an exercise session with little motivation but then to leave with a spring in their step and ready to face life head on.
